You laugh

But do you have God in a box? Are you having a believing or feeling experience?

This is real...serious. Perhaps I’m the only one surrounded by new-age nonsense in its various forms; my entire office lauds the likes of Oprah Winfrey, Rhonda Byrne, Deepak Chopra, and other delusionaries, who seek to show man that he himself is a god or that God in fact doesn't exist at all.

Many of you know, I’m the kinda guy who lets Jehovah Witnesses into his house for a spirited chat, an enthusiastically ecumenical fellow, who simply wishes to bring souls into Mother Church, outside of which there is absolutely no salvation. Yep, I’m one of those EENS, mean-spirited, and narrow-minded Catholics who damns everyone to hell unless he’s a card-carrying Catholic. Well, not exactly...just search "EENS" on our blog for more on that topic.

I came across the following this evening and wanted to open up another thread for some late-night discussion if you so wish...

Certainly, the Catholic Church is the largest and only Church in the world. It's no surprise there are a number of flaws in this obviously protestant production.

However, the issue - the question of ways to God, ways of salvation and the relevance of God (and religion) in light of man - is, as it has been for a long long time, of the utmost importance.

With the onslaught of the New Atheism in our midst, the Four Horsemen, Hitchens, Dawkins & Co., are taking many a Christian to task. Books like, The God Delusion , The Third Jesus, The Secret, and other similar titles confound souls into accepting a higher view or altered state of consciousness, arrogating to themselves a loftier form or complete rejection of spirituality.

These laughable realities are quite serious. They are vehicles of a diabolical disorientation which diffuses itself so easily into our culture. But what is our response to be? A mere, "Oh, that's just stupid"? Or is there a more astute reply required of a person who calls himself a Christian?

How have you navigated the New Age?

If you've encountered such nifty ideas in your day-to-day, let us hear about it and how you handled it.

In the meantime, I'll be working on my transcendental meditation while I reread Pascendi.

A big problem is having God (and your mind) trapped in the box called the TELEVISION SET!
