Praying for the Holy Father

This morning we were in a rush heading off to a friend's house - we had an early date at a strawberry picking farm, so morning prayers were said in the car on the way. I say a Morning Offering, Thomas leads us in the Angel of God prayer, and Frances insists on saying 3 (it's always 3) Hail Marys.

Glancing back I ask Frances, "Is there anyone in particular you'd like to pray for this morning?" "The pope."

To Elizabeth, "Anyone you'd like to pray for?" "The pope."

"Thomas, your prayer intentions?" "The pope."

I'm glad they have their priorities straight.
