The Comeback Kid and the Texas Primary
Due to the fear of Obama winning Texas, my staunch Republican father went so far as to vote for Hillary Clinton in the primary to cause more dissension in the democratic race and to take a little pressure off the Republican party as it reorganizes to mobilize. I found this so amusing. This was always my dad's strategy in Risk - create wars between your other opponents as your gain reinforcements and regroup.
I have to say, I observed more democrats voting and caucusing this go round than I ever have before. It was scary. I would even go so far to say it was militant. Democratic voters arrived at the polls with mandates from their candidates and irrational reasons for supporting them. Many wore customized tee shirts that read, Give me Hillary and Free Healthcare or After our last president, we need one Hussein? Huh? Madness.
Last night, as I met with the few republicans in my district, the throng of rabid democrats roared as they caucused in the room next door. It was apparent to us that the Obama/Hillary battled had just begun...or has it?

Your staunch Republican Ohio readers did the same thing... At least in my family...
Plus now we have cred with our lib friends because we can always pipe up I voted for a woman/democrat/Clinton (once!)
I didn't want this to become Obama v. McCain for another 7 weeks... Let them duke it out, spend more money, and cast doubts on each other for another 7 weeks.
Your pop is a wise man!
Thanks, Simple Sinner. Perhaps the rest of the folks who will be voting in the upcoming Pennsylvania primary should take of this.
We'll see what happens.
