Siphoning off the Democratic Vote?
Apparently, a new threat has presented itself in the 2008 Election pot, Ralph Nader, the consumer rights activist blamed by many Democrats for losing them the 2000 election, announced he is to make another independent attempt to win the presidency.
Here's Nader in a nutshell.
Yet, who will Nader's entrance affect? Obama? Are democrats happy about yet another choice? A more palatable one?
This green-party "cult of personality" is getting back on the bandwagon, as his running mates roll their eyes.
Told of Mr. Nader’s announcement on her campaign plane, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton said: “Wow, that’s really unfortunate. I remember when he did this before. It’s not good for anybody, especially our country.”
Unfortunate for her or for the country?
Obama, campaigning in Ohio, said: “Ralph Nader deserves enormous credit for the work he did as a consumer advocate. But his function as a perennial candidate is not putting food on the table of workers.”
It seems Nader is crashing the party once again; however, the results of Nader's spoiler-effect remains to be seen.
